Tom stopped by my house on Monday afternoon, talked to me about paving my driveway. I was interested so he measured it out and gave me a price. I agreed to have it done. Within the hour his crew was here starting the process. He and his foreman layed the whole job out for me, answered questions i had and got on with it. They got the driveway prepped and ready to go for Tuesday morning. Tuesday morning they showed up, did some final prep work, the truck got back from the ashphalt plant and they began paving. it took less time than i anticipated, the crew didn't rush or take any shortcuts, when they were done, they cleaned my yard and the street. i am very happy with the outcome! they did an excellent job for what i considered a fair price. Great owner(Tom) with a great bunch of guys working for him. i would recommend them.

Expert Asphalt Finishing in Steuben County, NY
Asphalt finishing is the final stage of a paving project, and it is where surface quality is won or lost. At PaveCorp Construction LLC, our owner and crew bring the knowledge and hands-on expertise to get this stage right. Proper finishing means a smooth, even surface with correct slope so water drains away from your property instead of pooling and working into the base. That matters here in Steuben County, where freeze-thaw cycles put real stress on pavement every winter. Water that sits on or seeps into a poorly finished surface will freeze, expand, and widen cracks from the inside out. A well-finished asphalt surface sheds water cleanly, holds its shape under traffic, and gives your driveway or lot a clean, professional look. We serve residential and commercial properties across Steuben County, Chemung County, Allegany County, Corning, Bath, Elmira, Horseheads, and the wider region. Contact PaveCorp Construction LLC to get your asphalt finishing project started.

Asphalt Finishing FAQ
Common questions about asphalt finishing in Steuben County, NY.
Yes, asphalt finishing applies to both residential driveways and commercial parking lots across Steuben County. The process focuses on surface smoothness, edge work, and proper slope regardless of the property type.
A properly finished surface sheds water before it can seep in and freeze, which is the main cause of cracking and potholes in Corning and the surrounding area. Poor finishing lets water sit on the surface and work into the base, where freeze-thaw cycles break it apart.
PaveCorp Construction LLC serves a wide region that includes Chemung County, Allegany County, Yates County, Elmira, Horseheads, Watkins Glen, Penn Yan, Canandaigua, Dansville, and areas into Bradford County PA and Tioga County PA. Contact us to confirm service for your specific address.
Asphalt finishing is the final stage where the surface is smoothed, compacted to the correct density, and shaped for proper drainage. It is distinct from base preparation, milling, or sealcoating, which are separate services.
Proper compaction and surface slope are the two biggest factors for pavement that survives winter in Steuben County. When the surface is dense and water drains off cleanly, freeze-thaw cycles have far less material to damage.
Finishing after a patch or repair helps the new material blend with the surrounding surface and restores proper drainage across the affected area. Skipping this step can leave low spots where water collects near the repair.
